Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between HeyJade (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and users regarding the use of the AI English learning service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service").
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" refers to the web-based service where users can practice English conversation with AI characters.
- "User" refers to any individual who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Member" refers to a user who has registered with the Company by providing personal information and is eligible to use the Service on an ongoing basis.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
- These Terms apply to all users who wish to use the Service.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the scope not violating relevant laws.
- In case of amendment, the Company will post the changes and effective date within the Service.
Article 4 (Service Provision and Interruption)
- The Company provides the following services:
- AI-powered English conversation service
- Grammar correction and expression recommendation
- User learning history management
- The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, system upgrades, or other reasonable causes.
Article 5 (Membership Registration and Account Management)
- Users apply for membership by providing the required information.
- The Company may reject membership applications in the following cases:
- Using another person's information
- Providing false information
- Other cases where membership requirements are not met
- Members are responsible for managing their account information securely.
Article 6 (Privacy Protection)
- The Company takes user privacy seriously.
- Privacy matters are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
Article 7 (User Obligations)
- Users shall not engage in the following activities:
- Using another person's account
- Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of information obtained through the Service
- Interfering with Service operations
- Any illegal or improper conduct
Article 8 (Service Restrictions)
The Company may restrict Service use without prior notice if a user violates these Terms.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
- The Company is not liable for Service interruptions due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, or power outages.
- The Company is not liable for Service disruptions caused by user negligence.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
Disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall take effect on January 1, 2026.
